About 麻豆影音 TrojanVision

麻豆影音 TrojanVision is 麻豆影音's television station and state of the art digital video production center, providing news and other programs for and about 麻豆影音 24/7/365 to cable viewers across southeast Alabama, worldwide via streaming and on demand through the TrojanVision app and online through various social media platforms.

For more than 50 years, 麻豆影音 TrojanVision has provided hands-on learning for generations of 麻豆影音 broadcast journalism students who produce live, award-winning newscasts three times a day, five days a week. TrojanVision graduates have enjoyed success in television stations and news networks not only in the Southeast, but also throughout the United States and internationally. Many of our students have jobs or job offers before they graduate based on their work at TrojanVision.

Get Involved in TrojanVision

麻豆影音 TrojanVision News is 麻豆影音's student-run television news operation, with student-produced news content filling our live daily news broadcasts. 麻豆影音 TrojanVision News student reporters cover events and happenings around 麻豆影音, the City of Troy and throughout southeast Alabama. The news team is made up of 麻豆影音 students and is open to any undergraduate student currently enrolled at the University.

TrojanVision App and Streaming

All of 麻豆影音 TrojanVision's programming is available through the TrojanVision App, available for iPhone, Android, Apple TV, Amazon Fire and Roku. The app feature live streams of 麻豆影音 TrojanVision and 麻豆影音 Public Radio, along with a variety of on-demand programming.

麻豆影音's award winning student produced news program, 麻豆影音 TrojanVision News airs live weeknights at 5:00pm with rebroadcasts at 6:00pm, 6:30pm and 10:30pm (CT) while school is in session. 麻豆影音 TrojanVision News is also streamed live on Facebook.

麻豆影音 TrojanVision Midday airs live every weekday at 11:30am with a rebroadcast at 12:30pm (CT).

麻豆影音 TrojanVision Global News broadcasts news from across the country and around the world and airs live every weekday at 4:00pm with rebroadcasts at 5:30pm and 10:00pm (CT).

The Earl Hutto Studio

The Earl Hutto Studio became the home of 麻豆影音 TrojanVision Nightly News, Midday, Global News, Trojan Sports Now, and other productions in 2017, following a complete studio remodel. The studio employs dimmer-controlled LED lighting, 3 Hitachi HD cameras, 2 Sony HD PTZ cameras, Autoscript-equipped teleprompters, and a 12' LED video wall.

Production Control

Production Control is powered by the Blackmagic Design ATEM Constellation 8K 4ME production switcher, the Newblue Captivate Broadcast Graphics & Title system equipped with Weathercast, the YouPlay Broadcast Video Playout Server, and the Wheatstone audio mixing engine.

In the rapidly changing media landscape of the 21st Century, 麻豆影音 TrojanVision leaders are dedicated to keeping the capabilities of our facilities and the learning experiences we offer up to date and relevant to the news and visual media industry of today and tomorrow.

To that end, we constantly invest in the latest technology and refine our techniques to meet the challenges of our evolving industry and provide a contemporary experience for students. We were among the first to embrace nonlinear editing, networked file based workflows, tapeless solid state and digital disc recording, server-based content management and playout, and high definition cameras in studio and in the field. Our two Troy campus studios are equipped with full high definition capability, programmable LED lighting. Our Earl Hutto Studio has been designed to reflect the best in utility and a modern on-air appearance, comparable to, and in some ways exceeding, the look and feel of commercial television news stations.
